The Edward Palonek mission is to provide support, through the facilitation of grants, in-kind donations, volunteerism and community events, to charitable organizations and programs making a positive impact in low income neigbourhoods. We are committed to reach as many at-risk inner city kids as possible with as many constructive opportunities as possible with mentoring and tutoring programs to try and ensure that the children lead happier, healthier and active lives and given to tools to succeed.
Neighbourhoods benefit through improved safety and stronger community pride and engagement. As neighborhoods thrive so do kids. It is our goal to create resources centres from closed down schools as models, so that others might follow in the future.
The Family Resource Centers would serve as informal meeting places, groups and social activities - such as parenting classes, tutoring, recreational activities, just to name a few. They provide mechanisms for volunteerism and provide public awareness, community involvement all with not stigma attached to it.
The Eva Rothwell Resource Center is a testimony to what can be achieved through determination, hard work and a passion to succeed.
